Adaptive Tournament players are participants of Fore Hope from all across the state and their partners. The participant with a disability must have completed at least one therapeutic golf session with Fore Hope staff to participate in this tournament.
This yearly tournament gives persons with disabilities and their able bodied partners the chance to compete in an 8-hole golf event. This unique outing is the only one of its kind in Central Ohio.
The annual tournament offers a variety of therapeutic benefits including socialization, participation and competition not only for our golfers with disabilities but for family members and friends as well. This tournament is named after Guy Derr, for he was the reason and catalyst for the Fore Hope organization.
Sponsors for this year's 2010 tournament thus far are Presenting Sponsor, The Ohio State University Medical Center and Friend of Fore Hope Sponsor, Richard and Cali Smith. Fore Hope values these corporation partnerships and investments over the years, as their efforts help improve the health and well being of persons with disabilities.
